Legal & Regulation Notices
www.raspberryglobal.com is a central marketing hub for our global network of companies and entities. Raspberry Global Limited operates the website, but we will provide you with details of the specific entity with whom you will trade or that will provide services to you.
If we agree to provide professional services for a matter for you, please refer to the client care details that will be provided.
Please note that the entity may change on different matters and on subsequent instructions if the nature and/or location of our services changes.
In the event that we provide legal or commercial advice, please note that commercial and legal advice is carried out from a London base. In that regard, the Raspberry Group/Raspberry Global/or the entity stated in your client care letter, is a Legal Services Firm which carries out legal work permitted by the Legal Services Act 2007 and can advise upon most English law contracts and agreements and undertake commercial arbitration work in the UK and elsewhere, including full claims handling and representation before most tribunals.
Please note that as we are not a regulated firm, we are not required to hold professional indemnity insurance as would be normal for a regulated firm. Our approach means that our interests are often more aligned with yours than may be the case in a traditional practice. That, combined with the fact you actually want our experience and knowledge and are less likely to use us if you need someone to blame and/or carry the liability, means that we are more focused on the big issues that matter and less likely to make a mistake. Absent specific written agreement to the contrary, you agree that, in the unlikely event that our involvement results in loss to you, you will limit your claim against us to the fees paid by you in that matter.
We may be able to arrange project or matter-specific indemnity insurance upon request. If you request this, we will agree on a fee with you for the time seeking such cover, and any fees previously agreed upon will need to be amended to reflect the increased overheads. If this issue is not agreed we reserve the right to cease acting.
As a general rule, we try not to charge hourly like most professional service firms and we will try our best to agree a reasonable price for an activity or each stage of an activity with you prior to starting that activity. Where appropriate and allowable by law this may be a profit share or percentage. Where we agree a price, we will try to keep to that price but reserve the right to review this with you if it becomes clear that what we originally thought would be required has grown sufficiently to justify an amended price.
We do not hold your money in our accounts towards our fees or seek money in advance. We may break the agreed fee into tranches and bill you as we work through what needs to be done. We reserve the right to stop further work if our interim bills are not paid.
