Raouf

Raouf is our business director for Middle East and Africa operations and a leading expert in renewable energy systems and environmental engineering.


Raouf is a Chemical Engineer with a Masters and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Canada. He is a visiting professor at Cranfield University at the Centre for Renewable Energy Systems and Environmental Engineering. 


Outside academia, Raouf has more than twenty years of experience developing and leading renewable energy and environmental projects at a national and international level, covering all stages, including preparing the Terms of Reference, evaluating bids, and contractual arrangements. He has proven leadership abilities in overseeing mega-industrial and environmental projects in North America and the Middle East.


He thoroughly understands the legislation, policies, and programs oriented towards various renewable energy and environmental issues in the Middle East. Co-author of many scientific articles on water and environmental issues. He also has a demonstrated ability to develop and supervise the execution of programs and project priorities, utilising resources effectively and efficiently. Effective decision-making, problem-solving and mediation skills using creative and alternative solutions. 


Raouf has broad-ranging geographic experience and an understanding of the cultural sensitivities and local customs required for large-scale international business and trade.

Raouf also has extensive commodity and energy experience and is a leading expert in expertise in the phosphate-based fertilisers and minerals mining and processing industries.
