Kerry heads our Hong Kong and Far East office and brings decades of multi-faceted risk management experience to the team.
Kerry was the China Country Head of a multi-national risk management and security consultancy between 1998 and 2011. During this time, he personally managed many large-scale projects, ranging from physical security, executive protection, risk management, fraud investigations, intellectual property right infringement investigations and due diligence enquiries on large M&A and Pre IPO projects. Before joining the risk management firm, Kerry served 24 years in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force (RHKP) and had extensive experience in criminal investigation, protective security, court prosecution and counter-terrorist operations. At one time, he served at the elite VIP protection unit (G4) and provided security protection to numerous Heads of State and foreign dignitaries.
During his last 5 years in the RHKP he served as a Senior Superintendent responsible for internal security matters. Throughout his police career, Kerry received numerous commendations from his commanding officers and was awarded the Colonial Police Medal in 1990 for his outstanding service. A China specialist, Kerry speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, Asian Professional Security Association (Hong Kong Chapter), Overseas Security Advisory Council (Shanghai Chapter) and a Life Member of the International Police Association. Presently, he is also a member of an elite worldwide ''Kidnap for Ransom Response Team'', consequently his mediation skills are also second to none.
